Our Parents

Hi All,
Yesterday i had a GD with my roommates while watching "Baghban" because one of my roommate was against the movie. He said "This is not happening(Not taking care of parents in their old age) these days as all are well educated and can not do this much with their parents.Movie is misleading to wrong way". But i was totaly against his points. According to me its still happening and many of us(New Generation and Learned people) are still behaving with their parents as nobody will behave with their moppers also. If this is not happening then why so many Old Age homes are (already constructed and still underconstruction) in India. Best example is Haridwar "Place of Maa Ganga",i visited the place so many times and whenever i visited i found a new building there.

If somebody visits this palce then he/she can easily find in Old Age homes converted to "Dharamshalla (A place where a person can stay by paying a small amount of money)" that the Old aged people are not illitrate. They all are literate and from good families.

I shared a scene with him and want to share with all of you (happened in my locality) which consists of only 2 actors:- 1. A crooked Son and 2. A Poor Father.

Moreover son is a good writer also and he has written so many books for persons of every age. What exactly happend was:- He kept his mother with him because her health was good and could have done the job of a maid better. His father was suffering from paralysis and that's why he left his father in the village at his own.Unfortunately, Writer's mother died and father came for cremation ,but the cruel son didn't allow him. Moreover he didn't offer him food and not even a glass of water. He was roaming here and there on roads and asking for water to each and every one....

I can't explain the rest of the scene because its too horible then the previous part. I just want to ask a question that "If our Parents help us in every possible way, try to give all happiness of this world without shreading tears then why we feel scarred when we get the opportunity to help them and fullfill there needs. How can we forget the pain which a mother bears for 9 months before giving birth to a child.

We are capable to move in this world only because of there blessings. And we should not think even to run from our duties and responsibilities of taking care of our parents. I don't know that how many are satisfied with my comments but what i think, i am writing in my blog.

It is truly one of the things which has to be reminded time and again to all of us. The pain and hardship which our parents go through goes unnoticed and when at the time of payback, in one way or the other, people tend to deviate from shouldering their parents.

Nicely and lucidly written. Hope this blog would help in creating a niche in the mind of people about their parents.

Hats off to our Parents!!

A heart-touching post indeed and I agree that we should give due respect to our parents.
I believe moral values still persist in India and cases like you explained in your post are not that many (to my knowledge).

Truly said. As we grow older we loose our memory and generally tend to forget the hardships which our parents bore for us at some or the other point. Unfortunately, this is happening more in the present times. So, guess we as a youth should be able to do something for the cause and one of the most important thing which we can do is respect and take care of our parents as "Charity begins at home."

All the best for future posts :)

We take all new steps in our lives with the blessings of our parents, and you started your blog with the same topic - I don't think there could be a better start J

Just to share my experience, I have stayed away from home for quite a while and it was then that I actually realized the importance of unconditional and selfless love that no one else other than our parents can give.

When they are there with me, I treasure each and every moment.

We come across all kind of people and experiences in our lives and it is just a feeling of one cocoon woven by God for us, where we can go anytime for the warmth and love, gives a great high.

I pity those who don't understand this.

I agree with you.We should respect our parents and need to spent time with them always (as much as we can).I always feel they are our best friends .We should care them and respect them.If any one who wont respect their parents are not fit to be in this world.
