Rays of God’s Light


Almost every evening, I visit Gurdwara in my locality to listen the “Gurbani Kirtan” (singing sacred hymns selected from “Guru Granth Sahib”). Yesterday ‘Sangat’ (companions or the collective body of Sikhs who are the members of a congregation) unfolds an important chapter of life i.e. on mistakes. These days everyone is busy in trying to overpower the others by every possible way and that way could be of destruction as well. Finding mistakes in someone is another possible way to overpower. People have understood the wrong essence of relationship, rather strengthening the bond with love they are more interested in finding mistakes so that when required they can blackmail to win over him. If this is limited as a tamarind flavour between brothers, sisters, couples etc. then it brings lots of joy and happiness but if it is used as a weapon to overpower then such sword of blackmailing always cut the relations apart. Sangat also mentioned that a person who has shared his dark side with you, has a lot of trust in you. There is no one in this world who doesn't have a dark side. If or if not anyone has seen you doing any crime but WAHEGURU knows everything about you. If the almighty starts punishing you for your every mistake then you would not be able to take the next breathe. Sangat also mentioned that if you indulge yourself in finding mistakes in others then you may never be able to meet the God. The logic behind this is if you will keep yourself busy in finding mistakes in others then your heart will always be chock-full with negativity due to which there will be no space left for the rays of God’s light.

Place – CCD Day – Feb 17, 2010 I had my cup of coffee and ordered for the bill. The waiter who was serving us got the bill and placed in front of me with a sweet and innocent smile on his face like he was saying Thanks In Advance . Somehow we all always come across an anxious kind of feeling and we keep on making excuse getting out of those situations. In this world of white collar people, two angelical words are loosing there identity FRIENDS AND FRIENDSHIP...Today we are making excuses in front of those also who are very near to our heart and soul.
