Essence of relationship

Every relationship is exclusive, important and every person has his own way of understanding about relationships. I feel that every relationship has a soul which keeps a relationship alive. A soulless relationship can never nurture a life. I believe that a soul of relationship is made up of three simple but very enlightening words i.e. sincere efforts, Trust and Love. These 3 words goes hand in hand. Many sincere efforts create trust between the persons and this trust leads to love which strengthen the bond. 

Though there are many other things like understanding, ability to listen, and communication etc.

Priority is a subset of making sincere efforts. Make your relationship a top priority, give full of your time and energy to the relationship. Never ever stonewall in any relationship. Communications are one of the steps in sincere efforts. Now that you are putting time and effort, this will leads to trust in a relationship. Respect is another factor. The words are very powerful, which can destroy or build your relationship. We all must have read an idiom “As you sow, so shall you reap”. So one should respect the other person and use words that show love, and positivity. 

When we feel disappointed then knowingly or unknowingly, we consider our partner as ‘a villain’ which leads to a never-ending series of blames. Rather blaming one should learn to forgive. A relationship built on false information, intended to please your partner, will eventually fall apart. Strong relationships are built on trust and respect, which can only happen when both partners are honest with each other. Give your partner a sense of confidence and safety, so that your partner doesn't hide anything and share his/her heart out with you. This will engender love in the relationship.
