Family  is one of those best words, which all of us love repeating and remembering all the time. The family is involved either directly or indirectly, with what an individual does in his/her life. If we go by the definition, a group of people affiliated either by birth, by marriage or co-residence is called as family. If this is the definition then why words like separations, differences even exists. If a son forces his dad every now and then to divide the property or a daughter in law doesn’t like that her husband maintain any relation with his family or if an elder brother betrays his younger brother or sister or if a son leaves his mother and doesn’t come to see her despite being in the same city. Should we still consider them as part of our family? Recently, I got to know about a stringent behavior of males towards the female employee. The behavior was so unnatural and painful that left me with a question that ‘Is she safe’ in her team. We talk about rules, laws, and phrases like ‘Save the Girl Child’. But is this sufficient. I feel despite various rules, laws, and policies, the girls are still not safe. Be it a public place, a straight road or a private company. Another thought comes to my mind is, can beauty turns be a curse. When a girl gets promotion then why peers, seniors or juniors becomes so judgmental about the character of the girl. There is a saying that “To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet”. I want to add in this, “To realize the value of strength, ask a soul who has fallen weak because of losing perspective of life”. Losing tangible and important things in life, may not be a great loss. Yesterday, I was in Metro was enjoying the journey back to Noida. There were rakhis tied on every hand, seems everyone had enjoyed this auspicious festival that reflects the strength of the bond between brother & sister. Every relationship is exclusive, important and every person has his own way of understanding about relationships. I feel that every relationship has a soul which keeps a relationship alive. A soulless relationship can never nurture a life. I believe that a soul of relationship is made up of three simple but very enlightening words i.e. sincere efforts , Trust and Love . These 3 words goes hand in hand. Many sincere efforts create trust between the persons and this trust leads to love which strengthen the bond.  Though there are many other things like understanding, ability to listen, and communication etc. Priority is a subset of making sincere efforts. Almost every evening, I visit Gurdwara in my locality to listen the “Gurbani Kirtan” (singing sacred hymns selected from “Guru Granth Sahib”). Yesterday ‘Sangat’ ( companions or the collective body of Sikhs who are the members of a congregation ) unfolds an important chapter of life i.e. on mistakes. These days everyone is busy in trying to overpower the others by every possible way and that way could be of destruction as well. Finding mistakes in someone is another possible way to overpower. People have understood the wrong essence of relationship, rather strengthening the bond with love they are more interested in finding mistakes so that when required they can blackmail to win over him. If this is limited as a tamarind  flavour  between brothers, sisters, couples etc. then it brings lots of joy and happiness but if it is used as a weapon to overpower then such sword of blackmailing always cut the relations apart.
